Pregnant Amy Schumer shares morning sickness video

Morning sickness is a beast and Amy Schumer knows that all too well.

However the comedian — who was recently hospitalised for severe nausea and vomiting during her pregnancy — was determined to stick to a scheduled standup show on Tuesday evening, despite getting sick on the way.

In true Amy style, she even documented her violent illness and shared the video with her audience that she later shared on Instagram.

Beware, it’s not for the faint hearted.

While it may make you weak in the stomach, it certainly captures how she felt before going onstage.

Amy thanked the sold-out crowd for being “warm and such great laughers and for being cool with my sweatpants and slippers onstage”.

She performed with a giant trash can next to her during the show and received a standing ovation at the end.

One person in the audience called the show “brilliant,” despite the I Feel Pretty star not being in tip-top shape.

However, the funny woman said she unfortunately has to cancel some upcoming shows due to the condition — called hyperemesis gravidarum.

Once she’s feeling “human again,” she said, she will “make up these dates” and promised “a great time”.

“I’m struggling right now,” she admitted in a confession that resonated with mums around the world. “But I’m so grateful and excited to be a mum.”

Amy’s fans and other mums appreciated her being so real about pregnancy, and sent her their best wishes.

“My pregnancies were the same! Hang in there,” one person wrote.

“Amy, you are such a warrior and care so much about your fans. I hope you know how much we love you and want you to take care of yourself! You’re our national treasure, gotta stay strong please,” another commenter wrote.

“Damn girl. That’s dedication!” said someone else.

Some people, however, were caught off-guard by the retching.

“We really didn’t need to see that or hear it,” complained one person.

Amy announced her pregnancy — with her chef husband, Chris Fischer, in late October.
