Whether you’re planning a cocktail party or simply jazzing up your Thursday night dinner, charcuterie boards are an easy pick for low-pressure snacking. Even better, a thoughtfully designed board acts as a beautiful centerpiece and an opportunity to showcase a variety of well-crafted cheeses in a presentation that’s altogether majestic.

Pizza Hut is aiming to impress with its own budget-friendly take on the charcuterie board, and it includes smorgasbords for parties big and small. For just $25, you can graze on two of the chain’s medium pizzas, along with eight boneless wings and a side of sticks with dipping sauce, the brand tells Food & Wine.

In the announcement, Pizza Hut says it’s simply following dining trends — as well as giving proper recognition to circular foods ahead of Pi Day on March 14. While shoppers might also contemplate spending a fortune on artisan cheeses and jams at the specialty grocer, the chain is aiming to let customers test-drive the charcuterie trend with an approach that is innately Pizza Hut.

Pizza Hut enlisted Rob Gronkowski — aka Gronk — to show off Pizza Charcuterie in all its greasy glory.

“We figured, why not give charcuterie boards a pizza-worthy upgrade? We took the classic meat-and-cheese spread, swapped in the real MVPs (pizza, breadsticks, and wings), and created Pizza Charcuterie — a build-your-own, no-fuss way to level up any gathering,” a company representative tells Food & Wine. “With Pizza Charcuterie, we’re giving pizza lovers a fun, shareable, and totally customizable way to upgrade their gatherings — because, let’s be honest, pizza makes every party better.”

Don’t just take their word for it. Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski, former tight end for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots, is endorsing the launch with his own twist on the charcuterie lineup. (Naturally, his selections include a classic pepperoni pie.) The Hut also enlisted Gronkowski to introduce the deal and contemplate the overall charcuterie trend in its latest commercial:

If this promotion sounds familiar, you’re on the right track. The chain says it’s “a fresh, creative twist on the Ultimate Hut Bundle,” a similar promo that launched last month. That deal offers the same options for creating a “crowd-pleaser” with two pizzas, wings, and the chain’s signature sticks.

As for this latest iteration of this bundle, Pizza Hut highlights both the celebration of pizza pies on March 14 and the viral trends surrounding picture-perfect finger foods. If you haven’t scrolled through social media in recent years, charcuterie boards have rapidly picked up speed — running the gamut from all-out culinary affairs to those that verge on ragebait (we’re looking at you, butter boards).

“We’ve seen creative charcuterie boards take over social feeds, and we knew it was time to give pizza the spotlight it deserves,” chief marketing officer Melissa Friebe says in the release. “Because stacking crackers is cute — but stacking pizza, wings, and breadsticks? That’s a power move.”

Whether you delight in a well-designed cheese plate or prefer yours melted over a thick-crust pizza, this deal doesn’t sound half bad.
