American Idol returns tonight for the last official night of tryouts for Season 7 on ABC with judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan and host Ryan Seacrest auditioning a final group of contestants in the search for the next singing sensation in their hometowns—Santa Barbara, Tuskegee and Leesburg, Ga.,—as well as Nashville and Los Angeles.
To date, two of the three Platinum Tickets for Season 25 have been awarded. The first was issued to 28-year-old soul singer Odell Bunton Jr. from Arlington, Texas for his performance of Sam Cooke’s “Bring It On Home to Me.” The second went to Abi Carter, 21, from Indio, California for her rendition of Billie Eilish’s “What Was I Made For,” which means the third and final ticket will be awarded tonight.
