People Are Sharing Their Most Low-Stakes — But Controversial — Food Opinions
Recently, we asked the members of the BuzzFeed Community to share their low-stakes — but controversial — food opinions. Here are some of the best results:
."Brownies are a lesser cake. When they are fudgy, they are goop, when they are fully cooked, they’re dry. And putting ice cream on them makes them good, but what isn’t good when ice cream is on it? Just give me a rich chocolate cake — I can never support brownies!"
."Raisins in anything make me feel like someone very uncreative was behind the recipe and couldn't think of anything else to add to it. Dried apricots, dried cranberries, dried figs, and dried dates are way tastier and more texturally pleasant in oatmeal cookies than raisins. Don't let them even think about touching any salad or casserole."
."Peanut butter and chocolate don't go together. I love peanut butter. I love chocolate. But both of them together? Hard pass because the different kinds of sweetness really clash for me. Caramel and chocolate is the superior combination IMO."
."Not everything needs to be buffalo-sauce flavored."
."Beef liver is better than steak in most cases. If cooked properly, it's one of my favorite meals. Dip it in some flour, cook it until it's nice and crispy, and serve with some grilled onions. Nothing better."
."Please do not plate pasta and add the sauce on top. Pasta and sauce are meant to be mixed in the pot and then served together. You can always add extra sauce on top."
."Cookies n' cream anything is overrated."
."Not every dish needs cheese."
."Baby carrots are delicious dipped in mayo!"

."Carbs are best when they stick together. Clumps of noodles — amazing. Pasta stuck together in clusters — beautiful. Nuggets of rice (not the kind that is intentionally sticky) amongst the rest of the separate, fluffy grains — stunning. I just love the texture. The extra chewiness just makes the whole dish even more delicious."

."I know I am an oddball for this, but I vastly prefer soggy cereal to not. Especially Cinnamon Life. Oh man, I love pouring myself a big bowl, covering the cereal entirely in milk, and then waiting 5-ish minutes for everything to get nice and soft. I have no idea why I prefer this but it is my favorite and has 100% made my friends and loved ones gag."

."White chocolate isn't chocolate, and it isn't good at all. Just ew."
."Romaine lettuce is just watery rabbit food. Arugula is better."
."Imitation vanilla is just fine."
."When it comes to PB&J, creamy goes with grape jelly, and crunchy goes with strawberry jelly."
—Anonymous, 41, Ohio
."I like to eat fresh strawberries with peanut butter. Kinda like a PB&J, minus the bread."
."Ketchup only belongs on french fries! If I see that sickly sweet tomato jelly near a hot dog or hamburger, I’m leaving."
—Anonymous, 26, Wisconsin
."You can replace sour cream with Greek yogurt in any dish and it tastes totally fine/the same. There is no need to buy both."
."Shredded chicken is nasty. I don't mind shredded pork or beef, but I can't do chicken — especially not in soup."
—Anonymous, 29, US
."I love Tootsie rolls and their fruity cousins. I always steal them from my kids' candy stash."
.And finally, "Eat WHAT you want, WHEN you want it. NO food is specific to any certain time of the day."
