Sure, Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn are happily married to other people with children. But as long as they keep blessing the "Olitz" fandom of Scandal with reunions — we'll happily accept.

Kerry is married to Nnamdi Asomugha, and they have three children, including her stepdaughter. Tony is married to Jane Musky, and they have two daughters.

TikToker Kimberly Mykel said it best: "I just wanted to come on here and thank Shonda Rhimes, first and foremost, because she prepared America for a woman like Kamala Harris."

For the uninitiated, TGIT stands for "Thank God It's Thursday," a reference to the legendary night Shonda Rhimes's hit shows aired on ABC: How to Get Away with Murder, Grey's Anatomy, and Scandal.

So, when it was announced that Scandal's Tony and Kerry would attend the Democratic National Convention, it felt too good to be true.

Then, Kerry, aka Olivia Pope, kept teasing us with hints about the reunion of TV's greatest fictional presidential love story (if you ignore the "scandal" part), and my jaw was on the floor.

If you didn't know, Kerry is not new to this; she's true to this. Kerry spoke at the DNC in 2012 and 2020.

And just like a climatic resolution of the penultimate episode of a Shonda Rhimes classic, Olivia and President Fitz were reunited on Wednesday night during night three of the DNC.

Kerry shared the two selfies with Tony, captioning them, "Giving the people what they want. @tonygoldwyn #ForDemocracy #DMC #Olitz." All I could hear was the "Olitz Love Theme" by Chad Fischer playing in my head.
