Paul Mescal and Girlfriend Gracie Abrams Slated for Back-to-Back “SNL” Debuts as Final 2024 Shows Are Announced
The hosts and musical guests for the final three shows of the year were announced on Dec. 2
The final shows of the year for Saturday Night Live have been confirmed.
The late-night sketch comedy show will close out 2024 with three final shows, two of which will feature first-timers on the famed stage.
On Dec. 7, Paul Mescal will host for the first time alongside musical guest Shaboozey, which will also mark his SNL debut, as was previously announced on Nov. 16.
Chris Rock will host the following week's show on Dec. 14 — his fourth time as host — with Gracie Abrams slated to make her debut as musical guest.

The final show of the year on Dec. 21 will be hosted by SNL favorite Martin Short, and marks his third time hosting solo, and his fifth time hosting overall. Hozier will make his second appearance as musical guest.
Following the announcement that both Mescal, 28, and Shaboozey, 29, would make their SNL debuts this weekend, the country singer — whose hit "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" has spent a record-tying 19 weeks in the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 charts — wrote on Instagram, "MORE GOOD NEWS @NBCSNL."
Fans will also be intrigued by the show's decision to have Mescal's hosting debut followed by Abrams' debut as musical guest, as the pair have been romantically linked since June.
They made things close to red carpet official last month at the L.A. premiere of Gladiator II, as the Irish actor brought the 25-year-old singer as his date, which marked their first official public outing together.

"They're at the top of their game," the source said, sharing that they are planning a vacation together in the new year.
Following the announcement of her SNL debut, Abrams excitedly shared the news on her Instagram, writing, "AHH 😭 😭 😭 ," alongside the classic SNL corkboard schedule.
