Patrick Schwarzenegger Says There's More to 'The White Lotus' Incest Scene Than Meets the Eye

Welp, it happened. Saxon and Lochlan took their weird vibes to their inevitable conclusion on The White Lotus and engaged in a threesome where Lochlan ended up "jerking off" his brother. Nothing to say, really, but we are all Aimee Lou Wood in this moment:

Patrick Schwarzenegger has given several interviews about the scene, and indicated that there's more to it than viewers might initially suspect. As he put it to The Hollywood Reporter, "There’s always more than what just meets the eye of the shock value on the screen."

He also spoke to Entertainment Weekly about Mike White texting him that "It's going to be great" and that "it's going to start a conversation." Which, yep, mission accomplished.

He added, "It's a big power shift for Saxon, and how Mike even writes it, from him bossing around his brother and bossing around the girls and stuff like that, to then the dynamic switching and Lochlan having this upper hand, and then the girls kind of antagonizing me at the pool."

And speaking of the ^ pool scene ^, Patrick says "It's really a fun moment. But he also leaves a lot of it up to interpretation from the audience and from the fans. He wants to not-so-deliberately say everything that happened and show everything that happened. So I think that's the brilliant part about Mike White."
