Pamela Anderson’s Team Speaks Out After Meghan Markle Accused of Ripping Off Her Lifestyle Show
Pamela Anderson’s team has broken its silence following accusations that Meghan Markle’s new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, closely resembles Anderson’s cooking show.
Hours before Markle’s eight-episode series premiered on March 4, Jesse Fawcett, the co-creator and executive producer of Pamela’s Cooking With Love—which debuted on Feb. 26—issued a statement responding to the backlash.
“We take pride in planting the first seeds—creating original, distinctive programming that audiences love—and it’s a compliment to see our work with Ms. Anderson resonate so strongly,” Fawcett told the Daily Mail.
Eagle-eyed fans of Anderson were quick to point out striking similarities between the two shows. Both series feature the celebrity hosts preparing meals for their famous friends in a cozy home setting, hand-picking fresh produce from their gardens, and placing them in wicker baskets before cooking.
Many took to social media to accuse Markle of copying the actress’ concept, with one post on X receiving nearly 40,000 views.
OMG! WTF is this?
Meghan Markle also plagiarized Pamela Anderson's show? The entire concept is strikingly similar. 😳😳 https://t.co/DTYvK9GRCx— ⚔️ Lady Ҝα𝐫ϻa ⚔️ (@_BLlTZkqrMlc) February 23, 2025
“OMG! WTF is this? Meghan Markle also plagiarized Pamela Anderson’s show? The entire concept is strikingly similar,” one viewer wrote.
“It’s so identical, good Lord! no surprised Meghan’s trailer looked so fake! She was just copying Pamela...” one person commented.
Another viewer said: “It’s literally deja vu.”
“So similar its jaw-dropping,” a comment on X read.
Royal experts also weighed in on the controversy.
“Every single day another allegation regarding the conduct of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, seems to emerge, the latest being her new show is similar in style to the Pamela Anderson program,” Ian Pelham Turner told Fox News Digital.
Meanwhile, royal expert Neil Sean claimed in a YouTube video that that Markle’s series, in some instances, appears to be a “frame-for-frame” copy of Anderson’s show.
Others were quick to come to Markle’s defense, urging her critics to “let her be” and to “leave her alone.”
“Bullying is not acceptable,” one Facebook user commented.
Markle’s show has received brutal reviews from U.S. publications, including Hollywood industry bible Variety, which compared watching her show to a “forced march” and said “no amount of praise seems enough” for the duchess.
The Netflix series currently holds a 2.7/10 rating on IMDb, in stark contrast to Anderson’s Pamela’s Cooking With Love, which boasts an impressive 9.8/10.
