British Brand Orlebar Brown Is Forging Ties with Lamborghini for a Three-Year Partnership
MILAN — In the latest of a streak of collaborations, British resortwear and lifestyle brand Orlebar Brown has joined forces with automotive powerhouse Automobili Lamborghini on a capsule collection launching globally on Friday.
The range comprises resort shirts and pants, T-shirts and polo shirts as well as beach towels, in addition to the well-tailored swim shorts Orlebar Brown is best known for, which come with hallmark side-fasteners, fast-drying performance and a five-year guarantee.

These were enriched with a mix of prints, jacquard designs and details nodding to Lamborghini, ranging from its logo in bright, contrasting colors to the hexagon pattern that is one of the stylistic elements that have characterized the cars since the company’s foundation in 1963. The collection also includes the new Bulldog Drawcord style with dual branded, gold effect drawcord ends.
Priced between 175 euros and 595 euros, the capsule is available at Orlebar Brown stores as well as at Automobili Lamborghini’s store housed at its headquarter in Sant’Agata Bolognese, near Bologna. Both brands’ e-commerce and a selection of retailers worldwide also carry the collection, which represents only the first chapter of a three year-long partnership. New co-branded drops are expected to launch in the summers of 2025 and 2026.
Orlebar Brown was established in London in 2007 by Adam Brown, who thought men’s swim trunks were too baggy and needed some tailoring. He implemented bold colors and graphic patterns, attracting a celebrity clientele including Leonardo DiCaprio, Jay-Z and Daniel Craig, who wore Orlebar Brown trunks as James Bond in 2017’s “Skyfall.” The label later became a resort and casual lifestyle brand with a bigger selection that includes cashmere polos, crochet tops, striped hoodies, and cotton and linen pants.
Since it was acquired by Chanel in 2018 for an undisclosed amount, Orlebar Brown has grown to operate more than 40 direct stores in London; Paris; New York City and East Hampton, N.Y.; Miami; Los Angeles; Sydney; Dubai; Saint-Tropez; Marbella and Ibiza, Spain; Mykonos, Greece, and St. Barths, and can be found in more than 250 other locations worldwide.
As reported, earlier this year Orlebar Brown released a summer capsule collection with La DoubleJ — marking the first time J.J. Martin’s brand has teamed with a menswear label — and tapped “Fellow Travelers” and “Bridgerton” star Jonathan Bailey to appear in its spring 2024 campaign.
As for Automobili Lamborghini, earlier this year the company released the first drop of the co-branding project it launched with Tod’s, which consisted of a rendition of the latter’s signature Gommino loafers and sneakers unveiled in Florence during Pitti Uomo. As reported, the two firms unveiled their partnership last year, when the luxury carmaker also dropped an apparel collection developed with Rhude, the Los Angeles-based streetwear label founded by Rhuigi Villaseñor.
