Oprah Winfrey hits back at Ozempic claims after 18kg transformation
"Well it’s not one thing, it’s everything … and I intend to keep it that way."
Oprah Winfrey has opened up about her recent weight loss transformation, making it clear she did not use Ozempic or any other weight loss medication to make it happen. While attending the premiere of The Colour Purple on Wednesday night, the TV icon stunned fans as she showed off her figure in a purple, floor-length gown.
Entertainment Tonight host Kevin Frazier told Oprah she looked "divine in purple" and asked, "What’s going on? Because if this is Weight Watchers [WW], please, sign me up tonight!"
"Well it’s not one thing, it’s everything … and I intend to keep it that way," she said, adding that she "was on that treadmill" before the premiere started.
Fans had previously wondered if the TV queen had used Ozempic to lose weight, however, she revealed earlier this year that she didn't want to take "the easy way out".

"When I first started hearing about the weight loss drugs, at the same time, I was going through knee surgery, and I felt, 'I’ve got to do this on my own'," she said on an episode of Oprah Daily’s The Life You Want: The State of Weight.
"Because if I take the drug, that’s the easy way out."
Oprah, a WW ambassador, added that she's been on "this journey for most of [her] life."
The star reportedly lost around 18kg since joining the program.
It comes after WW CEO Sima Sistani revealed they would be embracing the use of semaglutide drugs like Ozempic.
"We needed to be the first to be proud and loud about the fact that we got it wrong in the past," Sima told CNN last month. "What we are now saying is we know better and it’s on us to do better so that we can help people feel positive and destigmatise this conversation around obesity."
Jackie O 'annoyed' at Ozempic rumours
It comes after Australian radio host Jackie 'O' Henderson, who has also lost around 18kg with WW and has also been forced to deny Ozempic claims, shared her surprise at the brand's use of Ozempic.
"That makes it look like I was definitely on Ozempic!" she told newsreader Brooklyn Ross last month. "I was like a guinea pig in that experiment."
Brooklyn asked Jackie if she was "annoyed" that she lost weight "the hard way" and not with Ozempic for a faster result.
"I mean, they make a good point and I'm really impressed that they're with the times," Jackie said. "You see so many people doing it and being successful and it not really being that hard for them."
Jackie has also denied using the drug during an interview with the Something To Talk About podcast for Stellar Magazine.
"When the Ozempic rumours first came out, I was like, 'Oh, are you joking?'" she said. "I know how hard I've worked and I haven't taken that."

She continued, "I was frustrated when those were coming out and I found the more I was defending myself, the more I felt, okay, this is a losing battle."
Jackie said she knew she'd never be able to convince people she was telling the truth, adding, "The people who believe I have or was taking Ozempic, you're never going to change their mind. Because I think they want to believe it."
"I know I didn’t take any shortcuts. It's just not what I did. I can't really deny it any more than I have. I'll take a lie detector test. You got one?" she joked.
