The Challenge 40 started with a whopping 40 cast members, and now we're down to just a quarter. But the remaining 10 veterans haven't reached the final just yet. While Burger King was a key sponsor for this week's episode, two guys certainly did not "have it their way" when they were sent into elimination. And, with family on the line for both men, it led to ecstasy for one, and devastation for the other.

While The Challenge 40 cast was full of legends, Cory was regarded as one of the best to never win among them. He made a controversial decision in the first round of the game, sending Amanda in, despite her warning that nobody would have his back like her. Her words, ultimately, proved prophetic. Cory got sent into a whopping (not Whopper) four eliminations, consistently burned by people he thought he could trust like Josh. But despite his lack of political game, Cory proved his competitive worth in the sand, beating former champs in the process. Cory went into his fourth elimination confident in the improved puzzle skills he displayed all season. But he faltered where he needed them most, tragically losing to Derek and depriving him of yet another opportunity to get the win he's so sorely wanted.

Who won the daily challenge on The Challenge 40 tonight?
The daily this week was one that apparently the show had always wanted to do. It involved plenty of brain and brawn, as a puzzle hotwired a convertible that sent the players careening off the edge of a cliff. They would then swim 500 meters to the finish. Tori continued her absolute dominance of the dailies, winning her fourth. And Jordan was alongside her, winning his third. Derek finished last for the men and went straight into elimination. Cara Maria finished last for the women and will have a penalty in the next daily.

Who are the next targets on The Challenge 40 tonight?
As the elimination winner, Derek got to choose three women (except for the daily winner) to be targets for the next episode. He picked Cara Maria Sorbello (who volunteered), Jenny West, and Rachel Robinson.
