Olivia Culpo has a brand-new project, just in time for summer.

Today, the 31-year-old model officially unveiled her exciting new swimsuit collaboration with Miami-based swimwear brand Montce. This collection boasts a range of essential pieces, including swimwear, slip dresses, micro and tennis skirts, button-downs and retro corset tops. The launch also marks the brand's first-ever collaboration.

"It's all about the people," Culpo tells PEOPLE exclusively. "I got along very well with the entire Montce team. I love that they're a tight-knit group. They're family. It was a great vibe, but I just felt really at home and comfortable with them and I respect the brand that they built."

Culpo continues, "I feel like there's a lot of synergy between the girl who shops there and the girl who goes to my page on Instagram or TikTok to see what I'm wearing, and it was just a great fit."

Culpo adds that she's always been a big fan of the brand. The Sandra Bikini Bottom she says is a staple in her closet. "They have innovative designs, especially fits. They always have the coolest bottoms and tops, and they're extremely flattering," she says of what the brand offers.

"So just on a practical level, it made sense to collaborate with them, and getting to work with another very creative team is always really fulfilling. I'm so happy with how everything came out and I just can't wait for the world to hopefully fall in love with it like we did," she says.

Reflecting on the design process of the swimsuits, Culpo explains how she aimed to make every customer feel sexy and empowered while maintaining elegance and timelessness. She mentions her inspiration from the upcoming festival season, which led her to create a denim swimsuit and incorporate high slits to elongate legs. Most of the colors used are neutral — including prominent features of black and white.

Aside from swimsuits, her line also includes other beachwear looks, like a denim corset top, cropped long-sleeve button-down and micro skirt.

"I just want people to feel their best. I want people to feel like they're out there living their best life, looking their best selves, feeling amazing. And I have to say, when you have a bathing suit that fits just right, it does do the job," she adds.

Additionally, she collaborated with the team to create swimsuit accessories, including lots of bows, which are a current staple in her closet, Culpo says.

"I'm such a big fan of hair accessories in the summer because you have to figure out a way to kind of jazz up your outfit. You're going to have an earring, you're going to have a sunglass, but hair accessories can also make a huge difference," she says.

Culpo's collection can be shopped on Montce's website.
