Nobody Wants This Season 2: Joanne and Noah Cuddle Up in First Photo

Nobody Wants This has officially started production on Season 2, and Joanne and Noah are looking very loved up in a newly released on-set photo.

In the below first look, the couple are cuddling on the couch, so it appears Rabbi Noah (played by Adam Brody) did, indeed, choose Joanne (Kristen Bell) over his job.

As you’ll recall, in the Season 1 finale, Joanne had a change of heart about converting to Judaism after talking to Noah’s ex-girlfriend. Noah suggested that they just slow down their relationship, but neither one of them could see how this works out if Joanne doesn’t convert, especially given Noah’s recent promotion to head rabbi. The two went their separate ways, but moments later, Noah showed up at Joanne’s car and declared, “You were right. I can’t have both,” then kissed her.

“I like to think he’s chosen Joanne, and the rest will work itself out, but that’s not his primary concern,” Brody told TVLine. “I don’t know if, in the light of day, he still feels that way, but in the moment, I feel like that’s what he’s communicating.”

Premiering in 2025, Season 2 of the hit Netflix rom-com will welcome guest stars Leighton Meester (aka Brody’s real-life wife) as Abby, Joanne’s middle school nemesis-turned-Instagram mommy influencer; Miles Fowler (The Resident) as Lenny, Noah’s Matzah Ballers basketball teammate who is set up with Joanne’s sister, Morgan (Justine Lupe); Arian Moayed (Succession) as Dr. Andy, a charming psychotherapist who might just be the perfect match for Morgan; and Alex Karpovsky (Girls) as Big Noah, an overly confident rabbi at Noah’s temple.

Additionally, as TVLine exclusively reported, Jackie Tohn, who plays Noah’s sister-in-law Esther Roklov, has been promoted to series regular for Season 2. The series-regular cast also includes Timothy Simons as Esther’s husband/Noah’s brother, Sasha.
