Niecy Nash-Betts Makes Blunt Declaration About Travis Kelce’s Behavior on ‘Grotesquerie’ Set

Niecy Nash-Betts shared some insider information on the way Travis Kelce behaved when they were working together on the set of Grotesquerie.

The 54-year-old actress stars in Ryan Murphy’s new FX horror-drama series with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. The 10-episode series kicked off with a double-episode premiere on Wednesday, Sept. 25, and is slated to continue airing on Wednesdays through the end of October.

During a recent interview with Canadian entertainment news show Etalk, Nash-Betts described the 34-year-old professional football player as “a dream” who doesn’t shirk his responsibilities on set.

“He is so charming but comes to work prepared,” the RENO 911! actress explained. "He’s open to learn, and I think his fans are going to be pleasantly surprised.”

When asked if she thinks Kelce will try acting again, Nash-Betts seemed fairly certain about her answer. “I think he caught the bug,” she said. “I could be wrong, but I feel like, yes. You’re gonna see him do a lot more.”

Kelce has kept busy this year with his work, acting on Grotesquerie and hosting the new game show Are You Smarter than a Celebrity? Though he spent time on those projects during the NFL offseason, he is now back to playing football with the 2024 season fully underway.

So far, Kelce and the Chiefs have enjoyed a winning streak with the first three games of the season already over. But they have a tough road ahead if they want to become the first team to ever win three consecutive Super Bowls, as Kelce indicated at the conclusion of the 2023 season.

Professional work aside, Kelce is also coming off of a hectic summer, part of which he spent traveling to support his girlfriend, pop superstar Taylor Swift. Kelce attended several of her concerts in person, as she often does for his games, and even played a role onstage during one of her shows in June.
