Home and Away's Bonnie Sveen is expecting identical twins
Former Home and Away actress Bonnie Sveen has shared her exciting baby news, revealing she’s expecting identical twins with partner Nathan Gooley.
“I’m 30 weeks pregnant now and I’m due in about six weeks, so the first week of October,” the 29-year-old Australian actress told New Idea this week.
Bonnie, famed for her role as Ricky Sharpe on the Channel Seven soap, said it was a real surprise to discover she was expecting.
After initially learning that she was pregnant at seven-and-a-half weeks, Bonnie then found out she’d be having twins when she reached the 19-week mark.
“My absolute first reaction when she [the sonographer] said we were having twins: I cried. I cried for a while,” the TV star revealed.
Nathan was also surprised, though over the moon after hearing the news, and now the couple are preparing for their two little bundles of joy to arrive in just over a month.
While they don’t know the sex, they’ve already got a shortlist of names up their sleeves, and Bonnie’s got two birth plans in place when she delivers in Tasmania.
“I would love to be able to give birth naturally, but if we don’t, we live in a really lucky era that regardless of however the babies come, everyone will be safe – there’s a lot of reassurance in knowing that,” added the actress.
Bonnie is known by many for playing Ricky Sharpe on Home and Away between 2013 and 2016.
After leaving Summer Bay, she starred on The Secret Daughter opposite singer Jessica Mauboy.
