J K Rowling is building her own Hogwarts playground!

The play area takes its inspiration from the fictional school of witchcraft and wizardry and is estimated to be costing £150,000 (over $225,000 Australian!) and is so big she needs to get planning permission to build it, but it doesn't look like local residents will be complaining.

A neighbour told the MailOnline website:

"Nobody around here is going to make a fuss about the tree houses for her children. It's her cash she can do what she wants with it.

"Miss Rowling has spent a lot of money on trees surrounding her property so even if these tree houses are huge nobody but her is going to see them. In any case she's extremely nice and well-liked around here."
