Multiple reports say Wills and Duchess Kate left Bucklebury, where Kate has been resting and spending time with her family this week, for Kensington Palace in London at around 3:30pm on Friday.

E! Online has confirmed the pair left by car and that no helicopters were involved with the swift departure.

Although a Palace spokesperson has denied to comment on where Wills and Kate are headed, royal sources say the Duchess is not in labour yet and is awaiting the arrival of the Prince or Princess of Cambridge at the Palace.

Duchess Kate has been spreading her time between London and her parents house in Bucklebury before the baby is born, sparking speculation this week the baby may be born outside of London depending on where the Duchess is at the time.

"There are contingency plans for wherever the duchess might be in the country, and that has always been the case," a Palace spokesperson said previously.

"The same as any expectant parents would be, they're now spending their time privately."
