Prince William & David Beckham go to the Olympics

After working together to bring the the 2012 Olympic Games to London, Prince William, 30, and iconic football player David Beckham, 37, came out to support the British football team at Wembley Stadium.

Beckham also brought along his 13-year-old son Brooklyn to the match, which saw Britain triumph over the United Arab Emirates 3-1.

Although he did not make the British team, Beckham was a major part of the Olympic Opening Ceremonies as he carried the Olympic torch down the Thames in a speedboat.

The famous athlete and father of four said he was 'disappointed' about not making the Olympic team, but added that 'there will be no bigger supporter of the team than me'.

Beckham explained: "I would have been honored to have been part of this unique Team GB squad. Like everyone, I will be hoping they can win the gold."
