When you’ve built a career critiquing Australia’s best restaurants and gained a reputation as the dessert queen on a hit reality cooking show, one would imagine you would take complete control of the menu on the biggest day of your life.

But this simply wasn’t the case for former My Kitchen Rules contestant Anna Lisle, who took a more relaxed, backseat approach when she wed long-time beau Andrew Turner, in a picturesque vintage garden wedding on her family property in Walcha, NSW.

"Picking the food was the easiest thing about the whole wedding. The caterer was fantastic. We had lots of canapes and big, shared platters. We had fish cooked in paper bags, beef fillets... everything was just easy."

In fact, according to now-hubby Andrew, everything was hassle-free thanks to Anna’s laid-back approach.

"Anna is certainly not a Bridezilla," the 29-year-old groom tells.

"She’s pretty laissez-faire about the whole thing, which has been great because we haven’t really had any arguments."

Among the guests were fellow MKR contestants Carly Saunders and Tresne Middleton, and Josh Geard and Danielle Najda.

But Anna insisted they had a strict ‘no judges’ policy for the guest list, "If I invited Manu, it would be all about him!" she laughs.

"I was trying to organise wedding stuff during MKR and they were so helpful - I was so happy they could share it with me."
