KAK's husband John is 'critical but stable'


ICU staff at Sydney's Royal North Shore Hospital have said that John Kennerley is in a 'critical but stable' condition following his surgery.

John has remained in an induced coma since his balcony fall on Sunday, and underwent a complicated procedure on Monday night.

Kerri-Anne has been beside her husband's side since the accident took place.

'John underwent a lengthy operation,' revealed Kerri-Anne's manager yesterday.

'The Doctors said the surgery went well. Doctors tried to remove the ventilator this morning (8.3.16) and that was not successful. They will continue to try over the coming days. John is in a comfortable condition and is in the best of hands at Royal North Shore Hospital.'

TV personality Kerry-Anne has been by her husband's bedside since he was airlifted from Coffs Harbour to the Royal North Shore Hospital.

The retired businessman sustained a serious neck injury in a balcony fall which occured while he was posing for photos with his wife.

'He stepped back to lean against a hedge which they thought was against a fence but there wasn't one and he has gone over and landed very hard on his head... I don't want to go into the specifics but it is very, very serious,' Kerri-Anne's manager explained.

He added that Kerri-Anne 'would like to thank everyone for their messages and support.'

The pair have been married for over 30 years.
