Bec Hewitt tearfully supports Lleyton Hewitt for his last ever Australian Open


Bec Hewitt watched her husband tearfully from the grandstand as he played his last ever match in the Australian Open.

The former Home And Away actress was joined by her three children, Mia, Cruz and Ava, who were also there to support the tennis star.

The game marked the end of Lleyton's almost 20-year career in tennis. He was beaten by Spaniard David Ferrer in straight sets (6-2 6-4 6-4).

After the match, the 34-year-old was joined by his three kids on the court as he thanked the crowd - and his wife of ten years - for their unwavering support through the years.

'I’d just like to thank everyone... the support over the years, it means so much to me,' Hewitt said.

'This whole last year has been pretty tough for me... I just felt like this was the perfect place to finish.'

He also thanked his wife for her continual support.

'Bec, she's been fantastic,' he gushed.

The Aussie legend remains the youngest male player ever to reach world No.1, which he achieved in 2001 at the age of 20.
