Bindi Irwin is winning millions of fans all over the world with her amazing performances on US Dancing With The Stars, but her new A-list profile means the brave 17-year-old star is now also faced with the ugly side of fame.

Targeted by jealous online trolls and sick body bullies apparently upset by her success and popularity, the inspiring teen is refusing to be dragged down to their level.

'Bindi's taking it in her stride,' a family friend tells.

'But the only thing that totally shakes her confidence is the body-shaming trolls online. There are some horrific things being said about her and it's a hell of a lot for any teenager to handle.'

But friends say Bindi - who has a healthy and athletic figure - will never let other people's negativity get the better of her.

'It's not how that family rolls,' says a pal.

'She said from the start she's doing it for her dad, and Steve would never want her to take any of these comments to heart.'
