Colin Firth will be back to play the charming Mark Darcy while Bridget's best friends, played by James Callis and Sally Phillips, will also return to join the all-star cast.

The film is rumoured to follow on from Bridget Jones's Diary (2001) and Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004), and will allegedly include the plot for the 2013 Bridget Jones novel, Mad About The Boy.

The British actress has kept a relatively low profile over the last few years but stepped back into the spotlight last year at ELLE's 21st annual Women In Hollywood Awards.
The star looked dramatically different, sparking rumours that she may have had work done on her face.

The star retorted: 'I'm glad folks think I look different! I'm living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I'm thrilled that perhaps it shows.'
