Russell Crowe expresses saddness over the death of John Nash

Actor Russell Crowe took to social media to express his feelings about the death of mathematician John Nash, who he portrayed in the Oscar-winning film A Beautiful Mind.
The 86-year-old math genius and his wife Alicia Nash were killed in a car accident in New Jersey on Saturday after their taxi lost control, hitting a guardrail and another car.

"Stunned…my heart goes out to John & Alicia & family. An amazing partnership. Beautiful minds, beautiful hearts," Russell tweeted on Sunday.
The 51-year-old actor was nominated for an Academy Award for his role as Nash, who suffered from paranoid schizophrenia and won a Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences in 1994.

His costar Jennifer Connelly, who played Alicia Nash, also paid tribute to the late couple.
She said in a statement: "This is a great loss. John and Alicia Nash were an inspiration and I have deep admiration for all that they accomplished in their lives. My thoughts are with their family."
