George Clooney has revealed he may have "crossed the line" with a planned prank on on-off pal Brad Pitt.

The 54-year-old actor - and notorious prankster - claims he went a little too far in his latest escapade during a recent interview while promoting his film Tomorrowland.

"I'm doing one now that I can't tell you about, but in a year you are going to hear I've been arrested—I'm not kidding, because I think I've crossed the line," George told BBC host Graham Norton.

However, George joked that he's fortunate enough to have a lawyer on his side if that were to happen, referring to his wife and human rights lawyer Amal.

"But I have a wife; she's a barrister. I'll be fine," he quipped.

George has been known for pulling jokes on his A-list friends in the past, including Matt Damon, who admitted the actor tried to convince him that he was gaining weight while the duo were trying to get in shape for a movie.
