Bronik & Corrine: 'It's all for my mum'

Every contestant hopes to win House Rules, but Victorian team Bronik and Corrine are hiding a very special reason to be on the hit show – they want to compete so they can put a big smile on the face of Bronik’s mother Vanda.
Last year, Bronik and his family were crushed after Vanda was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer. So, to raise her spirits, Bronik and Corrine vowed to audition for Vanda’s favourite
TV show, House Rules!

"Entering the competition was for my mum. I knew it would be one of the highlights of her life. She absolutely loves the show and to see us on it is huge for her. She’s in such high spirits just knowing that we’re going on this crazy journey and what’s come of it," Bronik tells New Idea exclusively.

He explains that while he and his five siblings took the news of her diagnosis hard, Vanda was actually the pillar of strength. She was determined to be optimistic about the time they still have left.
"She’s so positive," Bronik says.
