House Rules' Ben & Danielle open up about being called Ken and Barbie in this week's issue of New Idea, on sale now!
With their pearly white smiles and toned bodies, you’d be forgiven for mistaking House Rules genetically blessed couple Danielle and Ben' for Barbie and Ken.
But while the Queensland newlyweds find the comparison – which fellow contestant Tiana coined – funny, they reveal to New Idea that it’s far from the truth.

"I’ve just never renovated before so I was lost, I’ve got a professional job," 31-year-old Danielle explains. And not one to take offence at the light-hearted comment, the urban planner says that she considers it flattering.
"I think that’s pretty funny and I’ll take it because Barbie is skinny with great legs and awesome hair – so I take it as a compliment. She’s also been a doctor and an astronaut!" jokes Danielle.
"Hopefully people don’t think it’s because I’m ditzy or anything, because I’m not."
Firefighter Ben, 32, adds: "There is a brain up there!"
