New mum Eva Mendes claims sweatpants are the "number one cause of divorce".
The 41-year-old actress, who welcomed daughter Esmeralda with Ryan Gosling in September, doesn't lower her standards when it comes to pleasing her longtime love.
The fashionista, who described her personal style as "feminine" when interviewed by Extra, was asked whether she ever slips into something more comfy, such as sweatpants when lounging around the house.

"Sweatpants, no, no, no, no. No, no, you can't do sweatpants. Ladies, number one cause of divorce in America is sweatpants. No, you can't do that," Eva joked.
The first-time mum went on to dish about parenting her six-month-old daughter, revealing things are going "good".
"I'm actually starting to sleep so I'm at a good place. Sleeping through the night, but every night is like, you never know," she explained.

"Something random can happen and it just suddenly is not sleeping through the night and you're just like, 'Wait, I thought we were sleeping through the night. What's up?' Why does it always happen at three or four in the morning?"
Eva also admitted that motherhood has given her a newfound appreciation for her own mother.
"My mother has never gotten more like 'I love you so much Mommy' texts. I mean, randomly, I'm just, 'I love you so much, Mom. You're the best mom.' If you look at my text history it's like all how much I love her," she said.
