Like most expectant mothers who are approaching their due date, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge is busy gathering last minute supplies ahead of the little one's arrival.

However, unlike most mothers, the eyes of the world aren't looking for the slightest hint as to whether they are expecting a little Prince or Princess!

During a recent outing to one of her favorite stores, Amaia, in Chelsea, London, the 33-year-old royal was reportedly drawn to the girls section.

"She was very interested," co-owner Segolene Tresca told People.

"Every mum that comes in the shop, they look for boys' [clothes] but they always end up looking at the girls' stuff too. We all hope it's a little girl because it will be so cute, they will be like a little couple."

The Palace has told E!News that not even Wills and Kate know what the sex of the baby is, however keen royal-watchers then noted that Kate was wearing baby pink when stepped out this week for the annual Commonwealth Day Service.

A glowing Kate, in Alexander McQueen, joined Prince William and other senior royals including The Queen, Prince Charles and Camilla for the service at Westminster Abbey.

The event marked one of Kate's last official engagements before beginning her maternity leave.

"The money is all saying a girl – I don't know if people are looking at stats or just wishing it for the perfect family of a boy and a girl," says Rupert Adams from William Hill bookmakers.

Elizabeth has become the firm favourite at William Hill, with punters backing the name from $13 into $5 - Charlotte is a close second at $8.

Whatever the sex, it's not long until we'll all know with the bub due next month!
