One year on from undergoing a nose job, Olympic champion Stephanie Rice says she has no regrets about going under the knife - or about going public with it.
The 26-year-old, who is about to pack up and move to Los Angeles, took to Instagram to reflect on her decision and the positive response she has had from fans.
"When I made the choice to have my rhinoplasty at the start of last year I had a few people around me advising me to keep it hush hush because I guess a lot of people do," she wrote.

"I wasn't really bothered about it because I don't see the big deal, plus to me ... Why lie?
"But looking back I'm so glad I didn't keep it hush hush and rather owned my decision. 1. because there is no better feeling than owning your decisions and feeling empowered and 2. because speaking out about it has allowed me to guides others who are in the same position I was."
The winner of Celebrity Apprentice Australia, who unveiled her new nose on the cover of WHO magazine in March 2014, says that a broken nose when she was a teenager had left her with ongoing sinusitis and had damaged her confidence.
“My family and friends would say it was fine, but random people would comment,” she told the magazine.

The star also says the confidence she has gained from the surgery, has helped her stop worrying about what the critics say, and has allowed her to help others who are going through similar struggles.
"I get an email almost every fortnight from my website asking me who my surgeon was and what the surgery was like and I love being able to help them out because it can be pretty daunting," she admits.
"People will always critics but I really don't care hahaha".
