VIDEO: Manu Feildel's mercy mission to Africa
New Idea accompanied TV chef Manu Fidel to Africa for an amazing mercy mission.
The kids of drought-stricken Niger were won over by the star’s warmth, charm and giving spirit.
Surrounded by 275 excited children in a remote desert village, Manu lead the giggling kids in a rowdy chant: "Yummy, yummy, in my tummy!" while preparing them a meal of rice and beans on an open fire.
"Feeding these hungry kids, I don’t think I’ve ever been so honoured to cook for anyone," the 39-year-old said.
"What my son wants when he gets home from school is to play Wii. Here the kids just think about getting food in their mouths."
Take a look at the exclusive, heartwarming pictures and Manu's full interview with Editor in Chief Kim Wilson only in this week's issue of New Idea.
