“Didn’t know Busi Lurayi personally except for on screen of course, but wow. Her death shook me. Dying at the prime of your career has to be the epitome of how unfair life is. How to Ruin Christmas will never be the same. Rest in glory, B,” another wrote.

“I can’t believe Busi Lurayi really passed on. How to Ruin Christmas was the first thing me and my boyfriend binged on as a couple and we never looked back. She was so talented, that series was amazing!” a third added.

The official Netflix account for South Africa also posted a dedication to the actress, along with two photos.

“An incredible light has gone out in the South African entertainment industry. We are deeply saddened by the passing of award-winning stage and screen actor Busi Lurayi. We will hold onto the laughs, the beauty and the moments of joy she brought us,” they wrote.
