Naomi Biden Revealed She Is Pregnant With an Election Day Post
"(we) voted."
Naomi Biden, the eldest granddaughter of President Joe Biden, has announced that she is expecting her first child.
Naomi shared the news in an Instagram Story on November 5, election day. Alongside a mirror selfie that showed off her baby bump, she wrote, "(we) voted." Naomi wore an all-black outfit along with an "I voted" sticker.
This will be Naomi's first child with husband Peter Neal. The pair married in 2022 in the first White House wedding since Chelsea Clinton, daughter of former President Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton, married Marc Mezvinsky in 2010. Their ceremony took place on the White House lawn. Naomi wore a lace Ralph Lauren dress and was walked down the aisle by her father and mother, per People.
Naomi is a graduate of Columbia Law and the daughter of President Biden's son, Hunter, and his ex-wife Kathleen Buhle.
Earlier this year, Naomi testified in her father's gun trial. She testified that her father's drug use "got bad" after the death of her uncle, Beau. "After my uncle died, things got bad," she said.
She went on to state that she "told him I was so proud of him," when he was living with a sober coach in 2018. "He seemed great, he seemed hopeful," she added.
As Naomi told PBS Newshour back in 2020, she and her family are extremely close to President Biden. "We've grown up together," she said. "He's made sure that every single tradition, every holiday, we're all together...I don't think there's been any decision, no matter how big or small, that we haven't decided as a family."
