Mum shares 'brilliant' $9 Kmart space-saving hack

A mother-of-two has shared her "brilliant" Kmart space-saving hack on Facebook, revealing the solution cost her just $9.

Kyla Esaiah, who has a four month old baby, shared her hack to the Kmart Mums Australia Facebook group, revealing she'd used a Kmart shower caddy to store all her baby bottles and other small essentials, thus saving space in her kitchen.

Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle, Kyla said before she found this solution, her kitchen bench was no where near as tidy as it is now.

"The kitchen bench area was a mess. It was all spread out and looked very cluttered – having a baby makes everything messy as there is just stuff everywhere."

Her post, which has received over 560 comments and almost 2,000 reactions, has been given a lot of great feedback.

One user wrote, "I totally need to do this," another added, "This is a brilliant idea!"

Someone else suggested another use for the Kmart caddy, "That’s a great idea that would work for a coffee stand too." Another added, "Looks like a cool hack for the caravan as well. Condiments station!"

Many others posted that they now "need to go to Kmart" to get their own with some calling it the "best idea ever".

Some mums commented that they wished they'd thought of it when their children were still using bottles, "Omg!!! Where were you with this idea three years ago!!!" one user said.

Some thought that the weight of the bottles might make the caddy fall, but others suggested using picture hooks as a way around this.

One user, who revealed the shower caddy was quite the popular purchase, said, "I’ve been trying to get my hands on one of these for months."

The hack is clearly a popular one with many other commenters sharing snaps of their own shower caddy storage ideas.
