MTV VMAs: Most outrageous red carpet looks of all time
The 2020 MTV Video Music Awards are almost ready to kick off in New York City, although this year’s show will be unlike any other.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the event will be held with "limited or no audience", with MTV previously also announcing plans for the show to "[span] all five boroughs" to "pay homage to the strength, spirit and incredible resilience of NYC and its beloved residents".
Keke Palmer is set to host, with Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande being the most nominated acts with nine each.
So because we’re missing out on the wonderful and whacky red carpet this year, here are red carpet looks from days gone by that turned heads at the MTV VMAs for all the wrong reasons.
