Model hits back after being trolled over her stretch marks

A model has hit back after cruel trolls slammed her for showing stretch marks in her Instagram photos.

Chelsea, who has modelled for brands like Boohoo, InTheStyle and PrettyLittleThing to name a few, hoped to inspire other women with real photos of herself.

It’s been a while since you met someone original,” the 23-year-old mum from the UK said, posting a defiant image showing off her marks.

Chelsea, who has 64,300 followers on Instagram, previously revealed how she used to be caught up with looking “perfect for the gram”.

And would never have been able to post such an image a year ago.

“Today I received a troll in my DMs, and for the majority of my day I was dwelling on everything they were saying and doubting myself (sic),” she said in a previous post.

“Then I received these pictures back from my agency and I was like yas, I’m so proud of myself for how far I’ve come with appreciating my body.”

Her followers were quick to stand in support of the model and thank her for sharing the honest photos, despite some people’s negativity.

I applaud this! You are a stunning girl and the stretch marks add to this. Marks born from giving life… how can anyone be so cruel and nasty to you about that,” one person commented.

Tiger stripes are fabulous! Will never be ashamed of them,” another wrote.

You’re stunning. Absolutely beautiful. And your stretch marks only add to that. They’re life. And love. And the rawest, most primal mother nature magic,” another person responded.

Chelsea said the response to her posts only spurs her on to share more images that are aimed at encouraging women to embrace their bodies.

“People see influencers as being perfect, so they say seeing me with these flaws, and being able to embrace them, helped on their journey for self-love,” she told Fabulous Digital.
