Miley Cyrus fans confused by 'new unachievable beauty standard' in stunning Vogue shoot

Vogue has been accused of perpetuating a new unattainable beauty standard for women with pop star's pic.

Miley Cyrus has set British Vogue's newest issue on fire, gracing the cover in a green Prada satin lingerie set... however, amidst the stunning photo spreads, there's one detail that has fans scratching their heads.

In a striking black and white shot for the photoshoot taken by acclaimed American fashion photographer Steven Meisel and shared to the British Vogue Instagram, Miley confidently poses facing the camera, wearing a high-cut Saint Laurent bodysuit with her legs spread apart.

Not the first time Vogue has faced airbrushing accusations

British Vogue has faced accusations of excessive photoshopping before, with the magazine being called out online in 2018 for what many claimed were heavily edited images of Bella Hadid in one of its issues.

Following the release of the photos on social media, British Vogue faced swift backlash as many accused the magazine of excessive editing.

Despite the controversy surrounding the image, fans of Miley Cyrus are standing their ground, flooding the social media post to express their admiration for the singer.

"Yess queen," expressed one person, while another hailed Miley as "spectacular." A final person clapped back at the haters, "can y'all just enjoy a photo and shut up?"
