Melissa Gorga Had the Spiciest Clapback for Alexia Nepola's Claim That “RHONJ ”Cast Has the 'Worst Style'
Watch how Gorga coolly reacted to hearing the shady comment on ‘Watch What Happens Live’
Melissa Gorga is defending herself against fashion-related slander.
On a Dec. 18 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Gorga, 45, responded to Alexia Nepola’s claim that the stars of the Real Housewives of New Jersey and Real Housewives of Potomac have the “worst style.”
“Who do you think takes the crown instead?” Cohen asked Gorga, who had the spiciest clapback to Nepola’s shady comment, which was made on stage at Bravo Fan Fest Miami in November.
“It’s definitely not…” began Gorga, who stood up and let her outfit do the talking.
The cookbook author, who wore a sheer red dress that revealed her high-waisted underwear, received cheers and whistles from audience members, including her husband Joe. “Alexia doesn't know anything about Jersey, baby,” he said. Gorga appeared unfazed by the accusations.
In addition to Gorga, the show’s most recent cast included Teresa Giudice, Dolores Catania, Margaret Josephs, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, Rachel Fuda, Jackie Goldschneider and Jenn Fessler.

Following the explosive season 14 finale of RHONJ, which saw feuds between Gorga and her sister-in-law Giudice, as well as strains on the other cast members' relationships, Cohen, an executive producer of the series, revealed that the upcoming episodes could have “fresh faces” and hinted at a possible reboot. If confirmed, RHONJ would join the Atlanta and New York City installments on the list of Housewives shows getting an overhaul.
While a source close to production previously told PEOPLE that the show’s future was undecided, Cohen told Deadline in November that they are in “no rush” to resume filming.
Speaking with PEOPLE at the premiere of Devon on Nov. 8, Gorga admitted that she and the castmates she's remained amicable towards each other and have discussed what might be next for their Bravo careers.
“Sometimes when we're at dinner, we'll speculate and say, what do you think? What do you think they're going to do?” she said. “I mean, we'd be lying if we said we didn't, but at the end of the day we know all of us have zero control over it.”
She added: “So whatever is meant to be will be and that's how it goes.”
For now, the mom of three says she’s enjoying the time off working at her clothing boutique Envy, spending time with family and working on other projects, including her new line of sprinkle cookies (if you know, you know).
