Melania Trump missing from major First Lady campaign
Former First Lady of the United States Melania Trump was nowhere to be seen in a recent advertisement that featured every other living former First Lady.
A video advertising the coronavirus vaccine for Americans featured every former president and his wife with the notable exception of Donald Trump and Melania.
Michelle Obama, Laura Bush, Hillary Clinton and Rosalynn Carter all made an appearance, featured receiving their jabs or discussing the importance of the vaccine alongside their husbands', former Presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter.
In the advertisement, Barack Obama urged viewers to receive the jab.
"This vaccine means hope," the former president stated. "It will protect you and those you love from this dangerous and deadly disease."
"I want to go back to work and I want to be able to move around," Clinton said.
"What I'm really looking forward to is going to opening day at Texas Rangers stadium," Bush said, his wife Kate sitting alongside him.
Of course, we heard nothing from the most recent formers, Melania and Donald, given their glaring absence from the advertisement.
The pair's exclusion comes after it was revealed they received the vaccine in private in January before leaving the White House.
It's unclear if they opted out of the former-president campaign or were snubbed for the opportunity, though have both publically supported the push for widespread vaccination throughout the country.
Last week Trump urged followers to get their jab, describing it as 'unpainful' at an address in Florida.
The pair have been keeping a relatively low profile since their exit from the White House after President Trump completed one term in the Oval Office.
Recently the former First Lady was spotted for the first time since she ditched her husband on the tarmac when they arrived in Florida in January in snaps taken by fans of the duo at their Florida Mar-a-Lago resort.
The photos were posted to Instagram by a man named Keith, who captioned the snaps: "What a way to spend Valentine's Day, having dinner in the dining room alongside the Trump family!"
The former president can also be seen in the photos, smiling while dressed in a suit and red tie.
Trump’s son, Donald Junior was also in attendance at the club for Valentine’s Day.
