Melania awkwardly avoids holding Trump's hand in the UK
Melania Trump appears to have refused her husband's attempt to hold hands yet again, with another awkward moment between the pair caught on camera during the President’s UK visit.
It came just as the couple had touched down in the UK, and walked across the tarmac together. Melania appeared to take her hand away from Trump’s very quickly after he tried to walk hand in hand.
Fans loved the opportunity to point out the hilariously awkward moment, flooding to twitter to share their thoughts on the matter. Even the #FreeMelania hashtag got a few more runs.

Not the first time
The relationship between Donald and Melania Trump has always been a hard one to follow.
Despite always attempting to put on a united front at public appearances, there’s one thing that the pair really seem to struggle with – and that’s the loving gesture of holding hands.
In April last year they shared a cringeworthy moment as they welcomed French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte to the US.

One of the best ones yet was when Melania Trump appeared to physically bat away her husband’s hand as they greeted members of the Israeli government during a visit to Tel Aviv in 2017.

More bungles in the UK
US President Donald Trump has been in the UK for less than 24 hours, and there have already been a series of gaffes and protocol breaks.
As the Queen was delivering her speech, eloquently talking about their respective countries’ future together, Trump reached over and briefly put his hand on Her Majesty’s back. Touching the Queen in any way other than a handshake is considered a serious ‘no-no’.
When Trump first met the Queen, his handshake also drew attention for looking more like a fist bump.
Body language expert Judi James told The Express, “Trump’s greeting ritual with the Queen could have looked awkward and a still from it could make the gesture look dangerously like a fist-bump”.
