Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will have a Merry Christmas in Montecito this year.

Despite not being invited to join the rest of the royal family at Sandringham, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex plan on making the most of the holidays at home with their two children—Archie and Lilibet–as well as Markle's mom, Doria Ragland, according to sources.

“Meghan’s mom Doria will join them at home in Montecito and they’ll ensure the children have a joyful day, despite not being around extended family,” an insider told Closer (via The Post), adding that the Harry and Markle want to make their celebrations "extra special" this year for their two young kids.

The source continued, "There hasn’t been an invitation extended to join the royal family at Sandringham this year. It’s not surprising as they didn’t expect an invite, and even if one had been offered, they would likely decline."

While the Sussexes weren't invited to join Harry's family at Sandringham, an invitation was extended by the Spencers for them to spend Christmas at Althorp House—Princess's Diana's childhood home—but they had to "turn it down."

Ahead of the holidays, Harry will be hosting a Christmas party without his wife. On Tuesday, December 10, the royal will attend a special virtual holiday party for Scotty’s Little Soldiers, a non-profit that supports kids whose parents died while serving in the armed forces. Harry will hang out with attendees and answer questions about his life that were submitted ahead of time during the 6 p.m. event, Express.co.uk confirmed, citing an email sent to members.
