McDonald's brings two cult favourites back to Aussie restaurants
Fans are already salivating over the return of a wildly popular dessert.
If you love Milo and McDonald's, your time has come. Macca's, faced with overwhelming public scrutiny, has finally confirmed the return of the legendary Milo McFlurry and people are going nuts. "About time they brought this back!" wrote one fan after a food blogger leaked the release on Instagram over the weekend.
"We're excited to confirm that the McFlurry made with Milo will be introduced to the menu later this year, for a limited time only," McDonald's said in a statement after the post by @nectoriouspapi went viral, stopping short of confirming exactly when that will be.
Although the fast-food giant refused to be drawn on the launch date of the Milo McFlurry, they were more forthcoming with details about another cult favourite: new Pokémon Match Battle Happy Meals will be back in restaurants around the country from Thursday 24 August, cards and all.

That means, for a limited time only, you can head down to Macca's and purchase a Happy Meal, to score one of 12 official Pokémon Match Battle card sets, including card flip coin and instructions — that's everything you need to stage a Pokémon Match Battle at home.
With 12 types of Pokémon Match Battle games up for grabs, Aussies are sure to go gangbusters for the highly collectable cards once again this year, with Macca's confirming the new line-up includes fan favourite Pikachu, as well as newcomers Sprigatito, Fuecoco and Quaxly.
David Morris, Brand Manager for McDonald's Australia, said the fast-food chain is super excited for the Pokémon Happy Meal's return "There is so much love and excitement for Pokémon in Australia. So we are thrilled to be launching the limited edition Pokémon Match Battle Happy Meal," he said. "It's here for a limited time only so head into your nearest Macca's to collect them all!"
The limited-edition Pokémon Match Battle Happy Meal is available in McDonald's around Australia, via the MyMacca’s App and McDelivery, from Thursday 24 August, while stocks last.
