We’re not worthy of Matt Corby and Tash Sultana’s dreamy duet

Get your froth on because the two biggest legends in Australian music just dropped a collab and it’s beautiful. *Wipes away single tear*

Matt Corby and Tash Sultana have answered fans’ prayers by finally releasing the highly anticipated Talk It Out. It’s Matt’s first new track for 2019, and is just what you need to take you into the weekend.

Given the pair first jammed in 2017, this has been a long time coming, and you can hear the development of both artists over the past couple of years.

The writing process

Matt said the song was originally intended for his album Rainbow Valley, but he shelved it because “it didn’t feel like it was a fit for the record”.

Luckily for us, he decided to revisit it with Tash, and we’ve been treated to what is sure to be an Aussie chart-topper.

“Tash has a giant musical beast living inside of her, so I knew she could deal with whatever I threw at her,” Matt said in a statement.

“It was amazing to collaborate with someone like that, and have her throw her musical styling's over the song.”

The admiration between the two is clear, with Tash being equally complimentary of her writing partner.

“Matt is an amazing songwriter and instrumentalist,” she said. “He's also an absolutely awesome guy with a huge soul so it was a privilege to be a part of this project.”

This is the first collaboration Tash has released with another artist, gushing about it to Triple J Breakfast during the song’s premiere.

“It's so f**king good! I think I message him every time I’m listening to it,” she said.
