Masked Singer 2020: Mark Philippoussis unmasked as Echidna
During the season premiere of The Masked Singer Australia on Monday night, the Echidna was the first to be unmasked.
It was revealed that the man behind the mask was tennis star Mark Philippoussis with Jackie 'O' Henderson the only judge to guess correctly.
Dannii Minogue was close, guessing fellow tennis star Bernard Tomic with Jackie O saying: "I agree that it's a tennis player, and he's got a brilliant serve, he's done modelling. I am locking in Mark Philippoussis."
After being unmasked, Mark admitted he was disappointed to be out of the competition so early, given his competitive nature.
"I was bummed. I'm going to be honest, I am competitive," he told host Osher Günsberg.
However, he added that he loves music and singing so still enjoyed the little time he had.
"I mean...who doesn't love to sing? I love music. It was an incredible adventure and it was, you know, good to do something where you're uncomfortable," he said.
"I definitely was uncomfortable in this mask, but it was an absolute pleasure and it was fun."
Fans took to Twitter to celebrate that they too had guessed correctly.
