Martha Stewart glittered in gold at the 2024 Footwear News Achievement Awards on Wednesday in New York. The entrepreneur received the Icon Award, which recognized her collaboration with Skechers.
Stewart layered a brocade Libertine coat over a sequined top and metallic trousers, completing her look with a pair of her own crochet sneakers from Skechers. On the red carpet, she posed with fellow FNAAs honoree, shoe designer Kenneth Cole, who scored the Lifetime Achievement Award.

Referring to herself as the “original influencer,” the former television host shared some words of advice for others in the social media sphere.
“Be authentic, be honest and be sort of surprising,” Stewart told WWD.
Before she became a household name with her debut cookbook-slash-hosting guide, “Entertaining,” Stewart cut her teeth in the modeling industry, where she booked gigs with brands like Chanel and Clariol. This experience, she said, helped her become the successful businesswoman she is today.
“It gave me a lot of confidence,” she said. “I could pose beautifully, look good, feel comfortable in front of the press, in front of cameras. It was a very, very good basis for my for my business.”
2024 was a major year for Stewart, who was the subject of a hit Netflix documentary, published her 100th book and hosted coverage of the Paris Olympics alongside her close friend Snoop Dogg.
Other celebrity attendees at this year’s FNAAs included Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Law Roach and Rihanna, who made a surprise appearance in support of her partner, A$AP Rocky, winner of the Collaboration of the Year award for his work with Puma.
