Married at First Sight star Jessika Power rushed to hospital

Married at First Sight star Jessika Power has revealed she was rushed to hospital on Monday morning after experiencing ‘lots of pain’ and being unable to get out of bed.

The reality star took to her Instagram stories to update fans on her latest admission and explain her prolonged silence on the social media platform.

Jess was taken to the emergency department at Lake Macquarie Private Hospital in Gateshead by her friend Kyron Dryden to undergo tests and now potentially faces emergency surgery.

“I may possibly have appendicitis,” she told her fans.

“I've been in hospital all day doing testing and things like that. I'm going to have an ultrasound too, and I've had problems with my appendix in the past.

“So, I'm really not surprised. Hopefully we can figure it out and get it removed, and then I can go back to being happy Jess.”

The video showed the 28-year-old resting in a hospital bed with a drip in her arm, and then pans to her friend Kyron Dryden, who she briefly dated in October last year, asleep in a chair by the bed.

In an earlier clip, Jess said she ended up in hospital over the New Year and is still not feeling 100 per cent.

“I'm still not 100 per cent and still feel really sick,” she said, adding she needed to take a break from social media to focus on her health.

“I'm in a lot of pain, it's not just a little bit.”
