John Krasinski Was So Nervous When He Met Wife Emily Blunt He Stroked Her Face

These days he might be a hunky, confident, six-pack weilding action star, but back when John Krasinski met his now wife, Emily Blunt, he says he was just a blubbering mess.

"I don't know [how I got her]," the 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi star told Stephen Colbert. "And the way I acted was a little aggressive," he added.

"The true story, when I met her, I was so nervous....I just touched her face and she was like, 'Don't do that,' and then called security. And we got married!"

So it all turned out happily ever after and the pair are now parents to one-year-old daughter Hazel.

However the 36-year-old did reveal that Emily isn't too fond of his newly buff physique, "She hates it," he said. "She would way prefer to have doughy guy back."

"Doughy' is a strong word," replied Colbert.

"No, like sweet-faced," Krasinski clarified.

"You're still sweet-faced," Colbert reassured him. "You have a great career, you've got that, you've got Emily Blunt. Are you trying to make people resent you?"
