Julia Roberts Best On Screen Hair Moments

Mystic Pizza (1988)

It was the coming of age film where a young Julia let her wild curls roam free. In the movie, Julia plays Daisy Arujo, a waitress at Mystic Pizza in Mystic, Conneticut. Pictured here with her on screen sister Annabeth Gish, Julia’s hair is big and boofie, with a hint of frizz. It sounds so wrong, we think it looks just right.

Pretty Woman (1990)

Slightly more defined, but just as wild, Julia’s curls in Pretty Woman were a grown up version of her Mystic Pizza style. Julia’s hair underwent many a transformation in this film, but we think her curls are the most memorable style.

Notting Hill (1999)

And now for a change of pace…

In Notting Hill, Julia played Hollywood starlet Anna Scott. For this film, she debuted a mid-length, straight mane that elegantly framed her face.

Erin Brockovich (2000)

Julia’s trademark curls came back out to play for Erin Brockovich in 2000. This time, her hair was lightened and sat just below her shoulders. If we’re being honest, it wasn’t the best look but her character had enough sass to pull it off.

Mona Lisa Smile (2003)

With big, bouncy, dark brown curls, Julia’s character in Mona Lisa Smile had us lusting over her hair.

Charlie Wilson’s War (2007)

While Mona Lisa Smile had us taking hair tips from Julia’s character Katherine Ann Watson, her character Charlie Wilson’s War had us recoiling from fear that her up-do might be contagious. Curls were pinned on top of Julia’s head in a way that defies fashion.

Eat Pray Love (2010)

Julia’s hairstyle in Eat Pray Love is the epitome of low key chic. It’s long, it’s curly and it looks like she didn’t even try. Where do we sign up?

Mirror Mirror (2012)

Finally, Julia’s hair in Mirror Mirror is the full kit and caboodle. There’s tightly pinned curls, a diamanté headpiece and feathers. This hairstyle is not to be tried at home.
