UPDATE: The royal baby's name has been announced - Princess Charlotte Elizabeth Diana - prior to her first visit to Buckingham Palace to meet her great grandmother the Queen. Charlotte was the bookies' favourite for the royal baby's name, and Elizabeth and Diana were chosen for their family connections.
The next announcement from Kensington Palace will reveal just who will be Princess Charlotte's godparents. Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie - her second cousins - are tipped as favourites to be named joint godmothers. And with the odds set at 25-1, there might be a chance that David Beckham - a friend of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and guest at their wedding - could become Princess Charlotte's godfather. That would mean that the royal baby and her godfather would share the same birthday.
The baby will be known as Her Royal Highness Princess Charlotte of Cambridge.
