In early teaser clips of the interview, the pair discuss feminism, with Dunham asking if Clinton considers herself a feminist and the presidential candidate responding, “Yes, absolutely.”

"You know I'm always a bit puzzled when any woman - whatever her age, but particularly a young woman - says something like: 'Well, I believe in equal rights but I’m not a feminist'," said Clinton.

“A feminist is by definition someone who believes in equal rights. I’m hoping that people will not be afraid to say [that they're feminists]. It doesn’t mean you hate men, it doesn’t you want to separate out the world, so you’re not a part of ordinary life - that’s not what it means at all!

“It just means that we believe women have the same rights as men - politically, culturally, socially, economically.”

Being as awesome as she is, Dunham also asked Hillary whether husband Bill had been a cause of concern for her own career.

"Did you have anxiety about that?" Dunham asked. “About the concept of losing your own identity in the process of joining forces with someone who clearly had political ambitions?”

According to Clinton, it was definitely a red flag early on.

“I was terrified about losing my identity and getting lost in the kind of wake of Bill’s force-of-nature personality," she told Dunham.

The full interview will go live on lennyletter.com on September 29.
